EXTENDING UP TO MAY 31, 1956, THE THRIFT CAMPAIGN DECLARED IN PROCLAMATION NO. 24 DATED MAY 9, 1954
WHEREAS, the period from June 1, 1954, to May 31, 1955, was declared as Thrift Year in Proclamation No. 24 dated May 9, 1954; and
WHEREAS, the result of the thrift campaign under the sponsorship of the Bankers Association of the Philippines warrants the extension of the campaign for another year;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ramon Magsaysay, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend up to May 31, 1956, the thrift campaign declared in Proclamation No. 24 dated May 9, 1954.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 31st day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-five, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the ninth.
