WHEREAS, on 12 September 1972, President Ferdinand E. Mrcos signed Proclamation No. 1075 declaring the Municipality of Siquijor as the capital of the Province of Siquijor;

WHEREAS, on 12 September 2024, Thursday, the Municipality of Siquijor will mark the celebration of its 52^nd Anniversary as the capital of the Province of Siquijor;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Siquijor be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R, MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Thursday, 12 September 2024, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Siquijor, Province of Siquijor.
